Board of Directors

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Lifebridge Australia Ltd is company limited by guarantee and is governed by a non-executive, volunteer Board of Directors that is guided by a constitution.

The Board is responsible for the overall governance, management and strategic direction of the organisation and for delivering accountable performance in accordance with Lifebridge Australia’s goals and objectives.

The current Lifebridge Australia Ltd Board of Directors comprises of the following individuals.

Andrea Kanserski-Chairperson

Appointed to the Board in November 2022, Andrea is a retired Gold Coast local, a registered nurse for 42 years having worked predominantly in aged and community health, as well as the Financial Services sector. Experience includes enterprise risk integrated with Audit & Compliance; Disaster Management; Ethics and Fraud prevention program; Insurance program; Incident and investigations; Customer Feedback Management; Policy & Process Management; Preparing and presenting reports at National Board and Executive level and International group level; Workplace, Health and Safety.Andrea has presented at National and State Conferences and has written journal articles on Corporate Governance pertaining to risk and audit integration and developing internal business control frameworks to support consistent and cost-effective service and product delivery.

In 2014, Andrea was awarded Risk Manager of the Year by the Risk Management Institute of Australasia and in 2015 awarded the global Power of Gallagher Bassett award for her corporate governance achievements.

Susan Williams – Non Executive Director/Company Secretary

Susan was appointed to the Board in 2017 with over 10 years’ experience in both disability and community housing as a Corporate Governance professional and non-Executive Director. Susan’s Executive career includes Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and senior roles with ASX, NSX and NASDAQ listed companies, as well as private and not-for-profit organisations across a range of industries. Susan is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA), Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA) and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS). Susan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business, Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance, Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) and is a Registered Tax Agent.Susan was appointed as Lifebridge Australia Ltd.’s Company Secretary in 2015.

Susan Pettifer-Non Executive Director

Susan has over 30 years’ experience working across health, community, and government services, including 18 years in senior executive roles. She brings skills in strategic development, HR, organisational development, crises management, business transformation and reform. Susan is currently a Principal Consultant for Bendelta, where she works with leaders and organisations to develop their potential and help them navigate complex business challenges.
She commenced her career as an occupational therapist working in community disability and health services. She has lived experience of disability and has parents using in-home aged care services.
Susan’s formal qualifications include a Master of Science, Coaching Psychology, Master of Health Science (OT), Graduate Certificate in Health Management, and Bachelor of Applied Science, Occupational Therapy.
(Oncology).

Stephen Wockner-Non Executive Director

Stephen brings extensive experience in executive, information, technology, risk and organisational management to our organisation. He is certified in Program and Project Management and has over 40 years of achievements in the IT industry, specialising in Project Management and Business Process reengineering. He brings wide-ranging knowledge, professional experience and involvement in community groups as a non-executive director for multiple not-for-profits.
Qualifications: BSc, Master of Technology Management, GAICD.

Arthur Dimitropoulos – Non Executive Director

Arthur joined the Board in 2023 with over 30 years’ experience inclusive of healthcare, disability, finance, strategy, acquisitions and organisational performance. Arthur’s Executive career includes Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary, Director of IT and other senior engagements in listed, as well as private, not-for-profit and government organizations across a broad range of industries including international experience. Arthur brings a balance of financial performance leadership, governance, analytics as well as strategy and commercial intellect in healthcare, disability and cross border ecommerce. Arthur’s extensive experience is also coupled with experience as a Board and Non-Executive Director within disability, education, healthcare and social enterprises.Arthur’s qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).

Melanie Mayne-Wilson-Non Executive Director

Melanie Mayne-Wilson FGIA, FAICD is an experienced executive leader and non-executive director with over 25 years of experience in general management across the corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors. She brings strong commercial acumen and deep capability in strategy, sustainable revenue growth, and brand and reputation management, informed by senior executive roles with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Melanie currently serves as Chair of Protect All Children Today (PACT) and sits on the boards of Anglicare Southern Queensland, and ARAFMI Queensland. She is also the Chair of the Queensland State Council of the Governance Institute of Australia..
