Meet Delaney

Delaney joined the Lifebridge community when he was just 8 years old. His family had just moved from Brisbane and he was settling into a brand-new environment. Understandably, he a little nervous about joining, but it didn’t take Delaney long to settle in and meet some new people at Lifebridge.

Not nervous anymore, Delaney is now 15 years old and has been with Lifebridge since first joining. Delaney participates in the Children and Teens Respite House, where he’s made a whole raft of new friends who share his interests. Here Delaney can learn some new skills, have fun with friends and participate in a whole range of activities like computers and story writing.

Delaney is carefree and speaks his mind. He knows exactly what he wants and doesn’t want. He is someone not easily influenced and is best supported by being a role model.

One of Delaney’s goals is to continue trying more things and Lifebridge is a safe environment for Delaney to do so. In Delaney’s time with Lifebridge, we’ve been fortunate enough to witness Delaney grow into an aspiring young adult. His confidence continues to grow, and so does his skill-set.

Delaney now participates in our Fitness Cruz group and is also a feature in our new commercial. We’re very excited to see what Delaney gets up to next.
